Weekly Update, November 2025
Another busy week and a bunch of things coming in, particularly lots of digital cameras! Great to meet so many new people this week as well as some regulars.
I've started bagging and putting away all the accessories for digital cameras so the shelves are easier to browse, and I've reduced the prices on a lot of the cameras I'm selling for someone else, so it's worth popping in and checking some out.
New stock
- A bunch of compact digital cameras. There's now 3 fairly modern Lumix compacts, 3 Fujifilm compacts, and a 90s Sony Cybershot. All with relevant accessories, priced between £30-60
- A few bridge cameras. There's two Lumix models and an interesting Olympus Camedia C-5050, again with the accessories - £30-60
- Another Mamiya 645 1000s has appeared. No lens right now but does have the waist-level viewfinder, in good condition and I'll sort the light seals this coming week. I'm keeping an eye out for lenses - £350
- A Seagull 4B-1 TLR. Lots of cameras are made in China but I thought it'd be fun to pick up one that is actually proud of that fact. Boxed and in great condition - £85
- Topcon RE-2, to add to the Topcon shelf. Nice camera, decent condition, just needs the lens (58/1.8) cleaning which I should get to sometime this week - £75
- Pentax MG in working condition, with lens - £40
- Minolta 45mm f/2, MD mount, minimal fungus cleaned out - £45
Repair backlog
I've got a bunch of things sat on my desk at home waiting to be serviced, so let me know if you're interested in any of these and I'll try to prioritise it.
- Minolta XD-7, XD-11. Nice cameras but both seized up at the moment. The XD-11 is the US variant of the 7 as far as I know.
- Olympus OM-2N in black. Electronics not working.
- Mamiya 50mm f/2 M42 lens
3D printing
Contrary to my last post I ended up focusing on the 3-slot 35mm film case this week and printed a bunch of them up. I'm pretty pleased with this design, as it fits the film snugly but still shows enough to make them identifiable, and the lid is just tight enough to hold together in a bag but not require force to open it.
I've been trying to figure out how to price these and I've settled on £7.50 each for now. The fit is pretty consistent so you can mix and match lids and bases too!

Anecdotes
This week I bought two Minolta SR-T bodies, as I'm going to try to learn how to fully service them (which is obviously financially pointless but I like them, so whatevs).
I bought one absolute beater of a 303, in black, for £25, and a "serviced" SR 505 (which is an SR-T 303) from Japan for £160.
The beater runs really well, and the serviced one squeaks like all my other "nice" SR-Ts.
So now I have a shelf of squeaky SR-Ts and two absolutely battered ones I'm using myself. I don't know if there's a lesson to learn from this but the only logical conclusion is that the more times you drop an SR-T the smoother it runs.
