Weekly Update, March 2026

Photographers taking photos over the lake at the NEC

Well I'm back from the photo/video show at the NEC and there's a bunch of new things in the market and upcoming!

I've tidied up a lot of the cabinets and fished all the working stock out of my corner cabinet of horrors, so pop in and have a browse if you haven't visited in a while and want to rummage through things.

New Stock

  1. Mamiya RB67, with waist-level finder and 120 film back. This is pretty much mint, in perfect working order. Currently it has a 50mm f/4.5 attached but I should hopefully have the 90mm kit lens for it next week, as currently it has a good condition 50mm f/4.5 attached (which is very wide). I'll be replacing the light seals this week. Price to be confirmed and depends on which lens is attached. I also have the prism finder, equally in good condition, which can be bundled with it or sold separately.
  2. I'm selling my Nikon F3-T, in black - this is the titanium version. Rare in the UK and in perfect working order, excellent physical condition (mostly just paint-loss to the viewfinder). I just don't use it as much as I should and I want to fund some more 645 lenses I'm after - £575, with high-point viewfinder. There will likely be some other accessories for sale soon as well.
  3. I now have a peculiar collection of Pentacon telephoto primes for M42 mount. The 135mm f/2.8 has been there a while, but I've added a 200mm f/2.8 and a 300mm f/4 to that collection. All are optically very good, and very clean. There is a mark on the front of the 300mm but it doesn't affect the picture that I can see, and weirdly this lens has a large enough image circle for 645/6x6 I believe. Prices all under £100 each.
  4. There's also now a surprisingly wide range of Kodak Retina cameras, including a now-working IIIc. I haven't priced these up yet but swing by and have a browse if these are your sorta thing.
  5. Contax 137 MD, new light seals. I previously restored and sold this, but the owner upgraded to an RTS II and I bought it back. Affordable entry point into the Zeiss lenses for C/Y mount - £90 with a Yashica kit lens.
  6. I have a lot of interesting one-off film in 35mm available, including some limited edition rolls from DragonFilm, some 800 speed Kodak film ripped out of disposable cameras, and some Orwo 400 colour film. Stock is limited for all of these, though I will now be stocking DragonFilm going forward as they have an interesting variety of stocks arriving.
  7. The weird little Ricohmatic 44 127 TLR should finally be reappearing this week after a light resoldering. I don't even remember what I paid for this any more, but come have a nose at its weirdness.

Coming soon

  1. I'll be selling my Nikon AI-S 105mm f/1.8, pending a slight adjustment to the helicoid greasing. This is in awesome condition and as much as people rave about the f/2.5, this is just as sharp at 2.5 but you can go to 1.8 as well. Price to be determined, between £350-400 - let me know if you're interested and I'll get it sorted sooner.
  2. My customer repair backlog has swollen again to the point I haven't finished any of my own repairs. If you're feeling handy, I have a bunch of cameras that need minor corrections that I'll be selling very reasonably.
  3. Should be another good condition Mamiya 645 1000s appearing in the next few weeks, similar price to my usual offerings of these.
  4. I'll also likely be selling one or two Nikon Z mount primes soon, including the 50mm f/1.8 S. Get in touch if you're interested - it's a great lens, I just don't use it enough to warrant keeping it.

Speaking of repairs

I've been taking on more repair work lately but it has been taking up a lot of my time, so I will be adjusting my prices for some jobs - I'm apparently significantly cheaper than other repairers, and I want to maintain affordability for everyone, so some jobs (e.g. electronics repairs) will be priced more sensibly going forward. I will continue to do light seals for my current price however, as I do those in my downtime in the market.

Patterson darkroom supplies

I'm opening a trade account with Patterson and can now order darkroom equipment and supplies from them as a distributor, meaning I can offer good prices for those looking to get into film developing at home, such as on the Patterson/Ilford Film Processing Starter Kit. Drop by or drop me an email if you want to know more.

I also bought myself a Benbo tripod from them which I can bring in for those who have never seen one, once it arrives - it's a very unique design.

Looking for testers

Do you use a Mac for managing your photos? I've been working on a Mac-only piece of software for managing huge image collections, with the sole goal of being obscenely fast (you can flick through 300k photos without any lag).

It's already up on the app store and you can read more about it on my software website but if you're a regular customer and want to help me test it (i.e. break it) let me know and I'll sort you out with a free copy.

See you space cowboy
