Weekly Update, December 2025
Got a few new things coming this week, depending on repair success!
New stock
- Hacoflex TLR. Interesting Japanese TLR, bit battered in places but I've fixed the shutter. Infinity focus does need adjusting which I'll hopefully sort out on Thursday - £75
- Ricoh Ricohmatic 44, a 127 format automatic TLR. Weird little thing with a very unique style, looks like 60s industrial equipment. I've repaired the shutter, should be available later this week - £65
- Mamiya 645 210mm f/4. I use a copy of this lens frequently on my 645 system, and it works out to something like a 135mm equivalent on 35mm. Nice clean copy - £95
Repair backlog
I've got a few customer repairs on the go and a backlog of new stock to repair too, so I'm hopefully going to get through some of them this week. I can swap around my own backlog priority so let me know if you're interested in any of the following, and they can be prioritised:
- Yashica-24
- Olympus OM-10
- Primoflex
- Minolta XD-7, XD-11
- Various Minolta lenses
- Various M42 lenses (mostly Mamiya ones)
- Loads of things that just need light seals - these are £20 cheaper if you want to do them yourself
Fresh film
I now have some Kodak T-Max 400 in 120 available, £12. I don't usually go in for the more modern monochrome films but this one has turned out some of my favourite images on my Rolleiflex T, so I picked some up.
Some Tri-X 400 in 120 also arrived this week and that's also £12. Both of these stocks are more expensive than the European equivalents but Tri-X in particular has a look that I really appreciate. Lots of B&W films look more or less identical, but Tri-X is pretty iconic. Quite fun to push to 1600 too, if you like insane contrast.
Xmas Deets
In the run-up to the holidays I'll be in the market on most, if not all, Thursdays as well as my usual times on Fridays/Saturdays. I haven't confirmed the actual days the market is closed at the end of December yet but I'll check that for next week's update.
