New arrivals, October 2025
In the run-up to the holidays I've been stocking up on piles of cameras; which, as we all know, is in the true spirit of christmas.
The following is an inexhaustive list of new stuff that's arrived over the past few weeks, but bear in mind that items on this list may be sold at any point - if you're after something in particular, drop me an email and I may be able to set it aside if it's still available.
Expired Film
For the first time I have a big batch of expired film of a huge variety of types (including Kodak Disc film for the psychopaths out there). Until now I've largely just kept expired rolls for myself or given them away, but this is such a large quantity that it will be available for sale at the market. When the gas heating turns on in a couple of months, I'll figure out a different way of storing it other than in a cabinet.
All of this film is of unknown origin and storage conditions, and is sold as-is. This is reflected in the price being quite notably cheaper than most expired film even on eBay. I can provide tips on how to shoot some of it more successfully, though some will be absolute potluck (e.g. expired slide film). Prices vary by type, because there's some really weird stuff, like 620.
Camera bodies
I've acquired somewhere around 80 cameras in the past two weeks so this is very much a rough outline of the highlights:
- A Zenith 80 in working order (although the film back is currently a bit borked - I'm working on that)
- A nice condition Nikkormat FT. Needs new light seals, which I'll get around to at some point - available cheaper for anyone who wants to do that themselves as usual
- A working Contax 137 MD. Grips were knackered, like always, so I'll be swapping those out. No Zeiss lens on it, before you ask
- Various M42 bodies including a Ricoh that can be used as a blunt weapon
- I now have 3 good Canon T70 bodies, for some reason. Also a T60, which apparently exists
- A selection of Zenit and Praktica 35mm SLRs available for £25 or less
- Lots of affordable compact 35mm cameras (£30 or less) and a couple of slightly ritzier ones (£50 or less)
- A bunch of Polaroid bodies I haven't even looked at yet
- More Canon EOS film bodies than I know what to do with
- More Kodak Brownies to shove in the Brownie Cupboard
- And even more APS cameras for the heap. Although the Canon EOS IX is ridiculously cool and I'm going to put a roll through that myself.
Lenses
There's a bunch of reasonably priced lenses:
- 3 sharp copies of the Helios-44-2 58mm
- A surprising number of Sigma EOS lenses (surprising because not all of them have sticky rubber grips)
- Lots of M42 lenses from various makes, including Pentacon and Pentax
- A variety of Yashica C/Y-fit lenses to go on the Contax 137 MD (or equivalent)
- An uncommon Konica 40mm f/1.8 that's seized solid
- Plenty of big zooms for the big zooms box
- And more that I've completely forgotten about
Other gubbins
There's a few cheap tripods and an ungodly number of affordable camera bags, which is too much even for me to justify keeping in my own pile of camera bags.
There's also tons of weird odds and ends, including a disturbing number of Kodak Disc cameras.
Roundup
So yes, tons of new stock, and the stall has had a reorganisation as well thanks to help from Kelvin - it's now much easier for more than one person to browse cameras at a time (finally)!
I'll be in on some Thursdays in the run-up to the new year, for two reasons:
- I have way too much stuff to sort through
- I need to sell that stuff
